Tea & Empathy Counseling is excited to be able to offer ADHD screening via BrainTrain IVA-2 program. The IVA-2 is a Clinical Decision Support software product that helps providers test and quantify visual and auditory attention and response control functioning.
The IVA Decision Support Software is both qEEG and fMRI validated. qEEG is quantitative Electroencephalography, a technique that records and analyzes activity of the brain and electrical activity. fMRI is a type of MRI that shows what areas of the brain are the most active when a stimulus is introduced.
The IVA-2 testing program is not a full psychological evaluation, which can take days to complete and may or may not be covered by insurance, the IVA-2 provides clinicians with quantifiable data for clinicians to be able to make more effective clinical decisions. If a full psychological evaluation is needed or requested, we are more than happy to refer you out to a psychiatrist for testing.
The test takes less than an hour to complete and results are available one week after completing the test.
The test results can be submitted for IEP consideration for students.
